This sermon series looks at the 4 times that an angel came to someone and says “Fear Not” in the Christmas story accounts of the gospels. Each of them are unique and have an application for us today, as we grow in faith!
In The Silence — Luke 1:5-25
In this message, we study and evaluate when an angel said “Fear Not” to a man named Zacharias. From it we learn that just because it seems God is quiet, doesn’t mean that He has quit. We have no need to fear in times of silence, because God is still there even when we don’t see Him.
There’s Grace For That — Luke 1:26-38
In this message, we study and evaluate when an angel said “Fear Not” to a young woman named Mary. From it we learn that although God’s calling for our lives seems impossible, inconvenient or just different from our plans, we have no need to be afraid. God’s grace is available to us to strengthen and enable us to do what He is calling us to do.
Under Pressure — Matthew 1:18-25
In this message, we study and evaluate when an angel said “Fear Not” to a man named Joseph. And from the life of Joseph we come to learn that we don’t need to fear what others might think or fear unknown details of God’s call. Instead, we need to live to please God, by faith, trusting and obeying His plan for our lives.
I’ve Got Good News! — Luke 2:8-14
In this message, we study and evaluate when an angel said “Fear Not” to a group of shepherds. And from this encounter, we learn that we have no need to fear where we stand with God. Because of the good news the angel brought to the shepherds, we can have peace and hope, knowing that the Savior has come.
We hope this sermon study has helped you to trust God in all situations of life!
